Principally a residence for those wishing to participate or train in the monastic lifestyle it is the focus for a thriving Buddhist community of many cultures. The forested area with remote lodgings provides a suitable environment for seclusion. Senior monks offer instruction in meditation, Buddhist principles, retreats and provide traditional religious services.

Alms Round: 1 May 8:15 am - 9:15 am At about 8.15am monastics walk from the monastery down Stokes Valley Road to the shopping area to collect alms. The walk takes about 30 minutes and you are most welcome to make an offering anywhere along the way - there or back.
